Having trouble during transition time to another area of the room or another activity? Use lotion as a reinforcer for “nice sitting and waiting.” Just a little drop of lotion on their hands goes a long way. This is a great motivator for children with sensory issues because it provides sensory input as well as gives them something to do while the class gets settled.
